Junior Recruiter

RC Associates is a boutique engineering recruiting firm specializing in attracting top Engineers for the Florida market. We are looking for an individual that has a passion for building relationships with people and working with technical individuals. The firm specializes in permanent, full-time placements in the Florida Engineering field.  

The duties will include but not limited to assisting in sourcing, finding, interviewing, screening, and ultimately, recommending candidates to our clients.  

Strong focus will be on finding qualified candidates through cold calling, networking, relationship building, and high level-internet research and sourcing techniques. 

The majority of the day will be spent on the internet and phone and/or meeting and getting to know potential candidates, reviewing resumes, pre-screening, preparing candidate submittals to clients and doing internet research. The individual will also be responsible for managing a pipeline of candidates and will work with an existing network of candidates in addition to developing his/her own network of candidates.  

The primary function of the position will be to recruit, interview, and place Engineers for client companies. The recruiter will utilize recruiting methods to attract top-performing professionals and will work to build relationships for civil, mechanical and related fields. Training will be provided. Candidate must be willing to bring a desire to work hard, learn and grow.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Business, Liberal Arts, or related field. Individuals currently pursuing their Bachelors degree will also be considered.
  • Quick-Learner and self-starter. Individual that is able to work well independently.
  • Understanding of basic sales and a passion for building relationships with people.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people and have a passion for talking to people.  Prior phone experience including making cold and warm call preferred but not necessary.
  • Technical-savvy and aptitude in navigating the internet and search engine searches. Strong computer skills are a must.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and multi-task including at times being able to take on other job functions.
  • Honesty and professionalism.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to function successfully in a small business environment.
  • Strong-work ethic and exceptional organizations skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work load.
  • No prior recruiting experience is required. Training will be provided.
